Terms
Terms of use
By using Good Dog Basics you agree to these terms. They are short and written in plain English.
General education, not advice for your dog
The guides on this site are general information about training and caring for dogs. They are not veterinary advice, a diagnosis, or a behavior assessment of your dog, and they don't replace a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional who can see your dog. If your dog is ill, in pain, has bitten, or shows fear, aggression or panic, contact your veterinarian.
You are responsible for your dog and your safety
Every dog is different. Use your judgment, follow local laws (for example on leashes and off-leash areas), and stop any exercise that makes your dog distressed or puts anyone at risk. Timings in our guides are typical ranges from published sources, not promises of results.
Accuracy
We check every guide against its cited sources, but advice changes and mistakes happen. We don't guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free. If you find a problem, please tell us and we'll correct it as described on how we write.
Links and products
We link to other websites, including sources, Amazon and training programs. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices or services. Prices we mention are as listed on the date shown and may change. See our affiliate disclosure for how links may earn us money.
Using our content
You're welcome to read, print and share links to our guides for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy whole guides or images to another website or product without permission. The logo and name Good Dog Basics belong to us.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, Good Dog Basics is not liable for any loss or injury arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Updated" date shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions are welcome through our contact page.
